Foundation Course Details
Foundation is the first level of the ILCA FEEL Program. It is your first step towards language coaching certification.
Foundation modules include:
Module 1: Language Coaching Methodology and Framework
Module 2: Key Learning Concepts
Module 3: Language Coaching Toolkit
Module 4: Application – Further Tools and Practice
After completing our program, teachers can expect to:

Module 1: The Language Coaching Methodology and Framework
- History and definition of coaching and its standards.
- Core competencies of a coach.
- Similarities and differences between language coaching and teaching.
- Structure of a Language Coaching process.
Module 2: Key Learning Concepts
- Learner techniques, style, and strategies.
- Guiding learners using a positive approach.
- Peer coaching session and reflection.
- Practical coaching questions in a Language Coaching process.
Module 3: Language Coaching Toolkit
- LC basic toolkit with all features.
- Application of tools to ongoing learning processes.
- Working with tools and activities that support goal-setting, procrastination, independence, confidence, and motivation.
- Demo coaching demonstration.
Module 4: Application - Further Tools and Practice
- Peer coaching session and reflection.
- Exploration of further LC tools and activities focusing on teacher communication issues.
- Questioning techniques, providing positive feedback to learners, and sustaining a metacognitive focus in the teaching process.
- Keeping learners accountable and goal-oriented.

*To receive your completion certificate, attendance is mandatory for all four live modules. The course is a comprehensive blend of theoretical coaching practices, applied coaching models, and discussion-based sessions.
