This course is the next step on your Language coaching journey after completing the Foundation Course or if you are already a certified coach. These 4 modules will expand your coaching competencies through strengthening existing coaching foundations and models. We focus on leading dialogue-based coaching processes with versatility and flexibility as well as the development of the skill of deviating from your coaching models. We explore the theory behind language coaching practices, practice coaching models, and hold discussion based sessions. Module 1: Strengthening structural basis, agreements and contracts; working with coaching models and a variety of tools in a non-restrictive way.
Module 2: Using the right questions and having relevant reactions with a coach and a language professional mindset; building active listening skills; working with teams/groups
Module 3: When to leave models and tools: focus on coaching presence, working on balance and perspective, finding patterns and reacting to these discoveries
Module 4: Practical application of all learnt so far with attendees’ case studies. Peer coaching in mini groups - all attendees must demonstrate coaching skills against a checklist compiled by attendees. Revision and reflections of all learning from modules 1-3 and clarification of any issues.

Course is held with a minimum of 6 attendees.
Dates: November 10th- December 1st. Sessions are held on Tuesdays from 1pm to 3pm, CEST (Berlin time) (7am to 9am Eastern US time) once a week. Course materials and video playbacks are provided.
This course is taught over 4 weeks for two hours each week and a weekly follow-up hour of small group discussion, integration, and practice with your peers. The total time commitment is a minimum of 3 hours per week.
